These are the terms you agree to when you use rekallme. They are written to be understood rather than to be impressive. If something here seems unfair or unclear, write to support@rekallme.com.

rekallme. is for adults. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 years old. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18 we will close it and delete the data.
rekallme. saves things you want to remember and helps you find them again. You give it notes, photos, documents and dates; it reads them, writes a short title and summary, pulls out useful details, and makes all of it searchable.
You can put anything you like into rekallme., and people do. But it is not built for, and should not be relied on as:
rekallme. uses AI to interpret what you save. It writes titles and summaries, and it finds dates that look like appointments or deadlines. It gets things wrong sometimes — a date mentioned in passing can look like a commitment.
That is why you are always asked to confirm a date before it becomes an event, and why everything the AI wrote can be edited. rekallme. helps you remember what you saved. It does not guarantee you will not miss something, and you should not treat it as though it does.
Reminders depend on your device, its notification permission and settings, and the operating system. They can be delayed or suppressed when the device is off, has no power, or restricts notifications. A date extracted by AI can also be wrong. Check important events and use another reliable reminder for any deadline where a missed alert could cause serious harm. rekallme. is not an emergency alert service.
A new account comes with a free allowance so you can see whether rekallme. suits you before paying for it. What that allowance includes — how many memories you can save, how long it lasts, and which features are part of it — is shown in the app before you start, and on the subscription screen. That is the authoritative statement of what you get, and we may adjust it over time.
No payment details are required for the free allowance, and nothing is ever charged automatically. You cannot be billed by rekallme. without choosing to subscribe.
To keep going beyond the free allowance, you subscribe. The price, the billing period, what renews and when are all shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew until you cancel.
Cancel any time from your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, and we will help with a request where we can.
The current price, billing period, any introductory trial, renewal terms and credits included in a purchase are shown in the app before you buy, with the store confirming the charge. A store trial, if offered, can convert to a paid, renewing subscription unless you cancel before its stated end. Cancelling a subscription does not itself delete your account or your saved data. Your statutory consumer rights remain available regardless of any store refund policy.
The app shows your remaining balance. The purchase screen states the number of credits in a plan or top-up, when they become available, whether they require an active subscription, and when unused credits expire. Those offer details may change for future purchases; the terms shown when you buy govern that purchase, subject to your consumer rights. If an action fails because of a fault in our service, we release or restore any credits held for that action. If your subscription ends, saved content remains available as described below; the purchase screen explains whether any unused credits become unavailable.
You do not lose what you saved. When the free allowance is used up you can still read, search, export and delete everything in your account. You just cannot create new memories or edit existing ones until you subscribe.
We think this is the right way round. What you saved is yours, and being unable to pay should never mean being locked out of your own records.
We will not enrol you in a paid plan without you choosing it, will not obscure the price, and will not make cancelling harder than subscribing.
Plans and allowances can change as the product develops. If a change affects what you are paying for, or reduces an allowance you are relying on, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect — never afterwards, and never quietly.
You keep ownership of everything you save. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it as described in the Privacy Policy, and show it back to you. We do not claim any other right to it, and we do not sell it.
Do not use rekallme. to store or distribute anything unlawful, to infringe someone else's rights, to attack or overload the service, or to attempt access to another person's account. We may suspend or close an account that does.
We work to keep rekallme. available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Software fails, providers have outages, and AI misreads things.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export in Settings exists for exactly this.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. That limit applies however the problem arises, including unauthorised access to the service by someone else.
You can delete your account at any time — Settings → Account → Delete account, or through rekallme.com/delete-account. We may close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
You are putting records here that you may not be able to rebuild. If we stop running rekallme., this is what happens — not what we will try to do.

Sixty days rather than ninety because this is a promise that has to be kept at the worst possible moment — while winding down, with less money and less attention than usual. A shorter notice that can actually be honoured is worth more than a longer one that cannot.
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use rekallme. after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the law of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction.
